Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

We are looking to fill both full and part-time positions for the role of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). We are looking for both experienced and entry level RBTs who are passionate about improving the lives of children and families affected by autism and other diverse developmental abilities.

About the Role

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works directly under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide home and community based ABA services to our clients.  The RBT is primarily responsible for direct implementation of treatment plans related to skill- acquisition and behavior reduction. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide one on one (1:1) Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
  • Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to apply feedback and training on ABA job performance
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families and supervisors

About You

The ideal candidate is someone who can interact well with children and families, works well both independently and cooperatively as part of a team, and is able to consistently follow ABA programs developed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a passion for working with children affected by autism.  Prior ABA experience or other applicable experience working with children preferred.
  • RBT certification or willing to obtain certifications within 30 days of hire
  • Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to client therapy location
  • Must be abie to physically perform the job functions
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Conduct initial assessments, reassessments, and write progress reports using approved assessment tool
  • Develop & monitor individualized treatment plans and behavior support plans
  • Supervise and train ABA/ Behavioral Technicians
  • Maintain supervision feedback forms for supervisee
  • Accurately document supervision and parent support sessions
  • Develop and monitor individual behavior intervention plans
  • Provide support, instruction, and feedback to families and caregivers with regard to teaching replacement behaviors to manage challenging behaviors through the principles of ABA
  • Conduct Functional Assessments and Functional Analysis of all problem behaviors when needed and clinically warranted
  • Review program effectiveness, make recommendations, monitor data collection, and graph/monitor progress

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $75,000- $95,000 annual salary

About You

Qualifications:

  • Must have a current BCBA Certification
  • Master’s Degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle

  • Must be comfortable working with families and providing in-home services
